Virginia Ann "Jenny" Grissett, 75, of Ocean Isle Beach, NC passed away on Wednesday, June 21, 2023 in the Lower Cape Fear Life Care Center, "Brunswick House" following a time of declining health.

Born in Marshall, NC on December 22, 1947, Jenny was the last surviving child of eight born to the late Edward and Erma Griffin Brazil.

Jenny was a member of New Beginnings Community Church and past member of Ocean View Baptist Church where she taught Mission Friends, as well as Vacation Bible School. She was also a Cub Scout Pack Teacher.

Jenny was the business partner/manager of Jenny's Pawn Shop of Shallotte for 32 years until her retirement in 2020.

Jenny was an active member of community projects including "Just One" ministry and the Guardians of Christ.

Surviving are her loving husband Hulon Marvin Grissett; three sons, James Grissett (Krystal), Leroy Radford, Bradley Grissett; two daughters, Denise Radford and Jennifer Odom; grandchildren, Leroy Radford, III, Matthew Clemmons, (Samantha), Jonathan Clemmons, (Rhonlyn), Henry Grissett; and three great grandchildren, Isaac Guzman, Zach Clemmons and Kenny Clemmons.

Funeral services will be conducted at 4:00 PM, Saturday, June 24, 2023 in the New Beginnings Community Church with The Reverend Brad Ferguson officiating. Burial will follow in the Mintz Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the church.

Casketbearers will be, James Grissett, Matthew Clemmons, Jonathan Clemmons, Leroy Radford, III, William Grissett, Mike Jenkins and Bradley Grissett.
