John Terry Simmons, 75, of Supply, NC passed away on Tuesday, December 13, 2022, in Autumn Care of Shallotte following a lengthy illness. Terry was born in Wilmington, NC on October 3, 1947, and was a son of the late Scott and Margaret White Simmons. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, June White and nephews, Ronnie Evans and Josh Simmons.

Terry was a man who loved being outdoors where he enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was a proud US Army veteran. John had attended when in better health, Beach Assembly of God and was a counselor there as well.

Surviving are his loving wife Penny Woodard Simmons; three daughters, Tracey Shealey and husband Mark, Shannon Brown, Allie Tracey and husband Allen; a brother, Michael Simmons (Terenthia Grey); a sister, Marian McCumbee (DeWayne); four grandchildren; one great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Saturday, December 17, 2022, in the United Vision Church, Shallotte, NC with The Reverend Regan Mintz officiating. Burial will follow in the Chapel Hill-Lehew Cemetery.

The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service at the church.
