Sylvia Lane Pleasants Berube, age 74, of Bushnell, FL, and recently of Supply, NC passed away on Tuesday, September 27, 2022, following a lengthy struggle with cancer.

Sylvia was born in Virgilina, VA. October 28, 1947, to the late James Washington Pleasants and Winifred Hughes Pleasants. She attended Virgilina School and the Halifax County High School. Sylvia was a retired beautician. She was preceded in death by a son, Thomas Allen Bruton of Mt. Olive, NC and a brother, David Carlton Pleasants of Sanford, NC.

Sylvia is survived by her husband, Milton Berube of Bushnell, FL; a son, David Bruton and wife Tara of Supply, NC; a brother, Jimmie Pleasants and wife Helen of Newnan, GA; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two nieces and three nephews.

A Celebration of Life is being planned for a future date.

In lieu of cards and flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the American Cancer Society or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital
