Stephanie Nicole "Nikki" Simmons, 41, of Ash, NC passed away on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, in the Novant Health New Hanover Regional Medical Center after a lengthy battle with cancer.

Stephanie was born in Whiteville, NC on July 21, 1984, and was the beloved daughter of Jerry Wayne Simmons of Ash, and the late Darlene Angel Watts Simmons. In addition to her mother, Nikki was preceded in death by two uncles, James Simmons, Johnny Simmons, and an aunt, Sandra Simmons.

Surviving are her loving father, Jerry Wayne Simmons; four uncles, Bobby Simmons, Larry Simmons, Bobby Lynn Watts, Roger Watts; an aunt, Sue Simmons and special friends and extended family too many to mention here.

A celebration of Stephanie's life is being planned and will be held at a later date.
