After completing the Lord's mission for his life, Samuel Terry Varnam went home on Saturday, the 27th of January, 2024.  Terry, eldest child of Barbara Faye Singletary Varnam and the late Samuel Cortland Varnam, was born on May 30, 1953, in Southport, NC.  Terry was a 1973 graduate of West Brunswick High School, Supply, NC.

He was the owner/operator of Varnam's Insulation for over 24 years before having to close in 2007 due to health issues.  Terry was a member of Southport Baptist Church.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and woodworking.  Many of his wood projects were given to family and friends. Terry will be remembered by his wife of 26 years Paulette Schatz Varnam; sons Pastor S. Devon Varnam (Geneva) and Pastor Lonnie F. Varnam; grandchildren Samuel J. and Elizabeth A. Varnam; stepson Byron R. DeCowsky; siblings Jill Dixon (Greg), Mitchell Varnam (Diane), Sammy Nell Duong, Agusta Varnam (Tammy), and Anna Diefendorf (Richard); and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services will be held at Word of Christ Fellowship. 1290 Stone Chimney Road, Supply, NC on Thursday the first of February, 2024 at Two O'clock in the afternoon, with visitation an hour before the service.  Pastor S. Devon Varnam officiating.

Internment will be in the Varnam Family Cemetery on Stanley Road, Supply, NC.

Pallbearers will be Steve Brown, Nicky Varnam, Mike Sellers, Adam Sellers, Richard Jones, and Wayne Thompson.

Honorary pallbearers will be Augusta Varnam, Mitchell Varnam, Mack Long, Rick Warford, Dr. Kamran Goudarzi and Mike Chandler.
