Rocky Lane Hewett, II, 43, of Winnabow, NC passed away on Monday, July 4, 2022.

Born in Wilmington, NC on July 27, 1978, Lane was the son of Rocky Lane Hewett, Sr, and Cynthia Sullivan Moore. He was a carpenter and could build anything he set his mind to. A loving father, brother, uncle and son. He enjoyed spending time with his family, helping others, and was an avid outdoorsman. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, William Barkley Sullivan and Eleanor "Bunny" Sullivan; and paternal grandparents, Elder Brite Hewett and Lula Mae Hewett.

Survivors include his father, Rocky Hewett Sr. of Supply, NC; his mother, Cynthia "Cindy" Moore and step-father, Shawn Moore of Winnabow, NC; three daughters, Chloe Elizabeth Hewett and fiancé Taylor King of Ash, NC; Casey Lane Hewett of Supply, NC; Carah Amma Hewett of Ocala, FL; two sisters, Jessica Dawn Hewett and husband Shannon Thomas of Winnabow, NC; Monica Lynn Hewett and fiancé Mason Powell of Bolivia, NC; a nephew, Daulten Thomas; a niece, Bryleigh Thomas; Aunts, Judy Faircloth and husband Tony Faircloth, Faye Dunagan and husband Dennis Dunagan, Judy Ann Foster and husband Jerry Rivenbark, Ann Shaw; Uncle, William "Billy" Sullivan; and two very special cousins, Timothy Faircloth and Tiffany Gaver.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Monday, July 11, 2022, at Trinity Baptist Church, 883 Holden Beach, SW, Shallotte, NC with The Reverend Lonnie Varnam officiating. Burial will follow in the Hewett Family Cemetery, Supply, NC.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM on Sunday, July 10, 2022, at Trinity Baptist Church.

Active Pallbearers will be Timothy Saunders, Steven West, Jerry "Lighting" Rivenbark, Daulten Thomas, Shawn Moore and Johnny Sellers.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Tony Faircloth, Timothy Faircloth, Gary Lewis and Timmy Smith.
