Robert Stephen "Bob" Pasterniak, age 77, of Leland, NC, formerly of Mooresville, NC, and Lilburn, GA, passed away on Sunday, December 25, 2022, in the Lower Cape Fear Life Care Center, Bolivia, NC.
Bob was born in Cleveland, OH on October 19, 1945, and was a son of the late Joseph and Helen Paluch Pasterniak. In addition to his parents, Bob was predeceased by a brother, Mark.
He worked in IT for over 40 years, mostly with the banking industry, in Project Management. After his retirement, Bob and his wife of 54 years retired to the beaches of Brunswick County. Bob loved the outdoors, had a great, dry sense of humor, and enjoyed boating on Lake Norman for many years. He loved bird watching, and his favorite hobby was woodworking. He was a hardworking and disciplined employee who was loved by his peers. After retirement, he enjoyed kayaking, running and fitness. Bob also volunteered at Novant Brunswick Medical Center in Bolivia. Mostly, he loved his family.
Surviving are his loving wife Mary Wilkes Pasterniak of the home; a daughter, Heather Pasterniak of Cornelius, NC; a son, Brian Pasterniak and wife Deanna of Monroe, GA; a brother, David Pasterniak, and wife Brenda; and a sister, Nancy Ward all of Arkansas.
A celebration of life service will be held at two o'clock in the afternoon on Saturday, January 14, 2023, in the Event Center at Blossoms Restaurant of Magnolia Greens Golf Course, 1800 Tommy Jacobs Drive, Leland, NC 28451 with a reception to follow.
