Robert Lee "Robbie" Blanton, 57 of Calabash, NC passed away unexpectedly on Saturday the twenty seventh of March 2021.

Robbie was born in Fayetteville, NC on the twenty eighth of February 1964 to the late James Percy Blanton and Faye Timothene Windham Spencer. In addition to his parents, Robbie was preceded in death by a stepfather, Bruce Spencer; grandparents, William and Shirley Windham, and Annie Jane Blanton-Simmons.

Robbie was a 1983 graduate of Socastee High School, Socastee, SC and excelled at playing basketball, a game that he loved. He was a huge fan of UNC Carolina Basketball and followed them very closely. Robbie was a heavy equipment operator and was most recently a self-employed truck driver.

Surviving are his significant other, Jody Zaleski of Shallotte; a son, Kodie Blanton and wife Kayla of Longs, SC; a daughter, Stephanie B. Galey and husband Dwane of Supply, NC; a brother, Timothy Blanton and husband Jim of Punta Gorda, FL; two sisters, Beverly Moran and husband Rick of Calabash, NC, Debra Marcum and husband Anthony of Conway, SC; grandchildren, Mason Blanton, Laiken Blanton and Baby Galey who is due in October; nieces, Tiffney Stowell, Sophie Stowell, Ryan Stowell, Candy Gore; nephews, Will Marcum, Travis Marcum; and special friends, Keith Pyle, John Wood and Terry McLamb.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at three o'clock in the afternoon on Thursday the first of April 2021 in the Shepherd Assembly Church, 6720 Old Shallotte Road, Ocean Isle Beach, NC 28469.

The family will receive friends from two until three at the church.
