Obituary

Robert Stanley "Bob" Boyd, 73, of Ocean Isle Beach, NC formerly of Essex Junction, VT passed away on Sunday, the second of January 2022 after a seven-month battle with cancer.

Bob was born in Winooski, VT on the sixteenth of December 1948 to the late Rita Campbell Boyd and William Boyd, Sr. In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by a brother, Marty Boyd.

Bob was a retired SMSGT, of the US Air Force Air National Guard after over thirty years of service. Bob was a former member of the Knights of Columbus and was currently a member of St. Brendan The Navigator Catholic Church. After moving to Ocean Isle Beach with his loving wife Jacinthe, He began his dream job as a Ranger at Ocean Ridge Plantation where he made several close and enduring friendships that he cherished. When he wasn't playing golf, he could be found fishing with friends and enjoying the peacefulness that it offered.

Surviving are his wife of over thirty-four years, Jacinthe LaForge Boyd; children, Heather Boyd and son Leo of Colchester, VT, Tara Boyd and children, Isaiah, Jordan, Kirsten, Keegan and great granddaughter Journey of Colchester, VT, Kairie Murray and daughters, Avalon and Evelin of Colchester, VT; stepchildren, Suzanne Burns and husband Dan, grandchildren, Kristen and Zac of Jericho, VT, Richard Theriault and wife Fabienne, granddaughters, Emelyn and Elodie of Pittsfield, MA; siblings, Nance Pierce and husband Edmund of Biddeford, ME, Diane Place and husband Alan of Ocala, FL, Patrick "Rick" Boyd and wife Vickie of Palm Bay, FL, William Boyd, Jr. and wife Millie of St Albans, VT; special friends, Tom and Cherie Elias, Sharon and Jim Mithig, Rick and Kathy Gimbl, Mike and Beverly Pyle, Tony and Susan Donpkowski, Richie and Eileen Maher, Tony and Judy Rinaldi, Bob and Diane Gallant all of Ocean Isle Beach and Ron and Carol Leggett of Colchester, VT and many more.

A private family memorial service with military honors will be held at a later date.
