Reverend Timothy Lee Spencer, 71, of Supply, NC formerly of Lincolnton, NC entered into Heaven on Wednesday, July 26, 2023.

Timothy was born in Lincoln County, NC on June 14,1952 and was a son of the late Loyd Junior and Lela Smith Spencer. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Timothy "TJ" Spencer, Jr.

Timothy was a graduate of West Lincoln High School in 1970, Gardner Webb University in 1986 and finally the Southern Baptist Seminary and held a Masters of Divinity degree. He was pastor and fondly known as "Rev. Tim" in Kings Mountain, Walnut Cove, Fayetteville, Bolivia, Lincolnton and Supply, NC. He was also a US Navy veteran.

Surviving are his loving and devoted wife of 53 years, Linda Armstrong Spencer; their daughter, Janeé Spencer of Wilmington, NC; two brothers, Danny Spencer (Libby) of Lincolnton, NC and Barry Spencer (Betty) of Indian Trail, NC; and a grandson, Bryson Spencer of Belews Creek.

Reverend Tim's homegoing celebration will be held at David Memorial Baptist Church, 2533 Country Club Rd, Lincolnton, NC 28092 on Friday, August 4, 2023 at 7:00 PM with Reverend Fred Helms officiating.

You are invited to a time of visitation with the family prior to his service from 5:30 until 7:00 PM at the church. Everyone is asked to wear your biggest smile, most colorful clothing and best story of Tim.

The family asks for donations in his name to be made to your choice of the following, the Wounded Warriors Project, your local Gideons chapter and to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital.
