Peter David Issitt, age 90 years, six months, of Supply, North Carolina passed away on the evening of Thursday, July 5, 2023 after a time of declining health.

Peter was born in London, England on January 29, 1933, and was the son of the late Earnest and Edith Welham Issitt.

Peter's career began in London in laboratory medicine where he earned the FIMLS, FI Biology and MRC Path certifications.  He emigrated to the United States in 1964 and continued his career at the New York Blood Center, and went on to earn his PhD.

Surviving are his loving wife, Linda Anne Bell Issitt; children, John Squires and wife Mary, Patrick Squires and wife Susann, Linda's son Jeffrey Israel and wife Barbara Berry,  grandchildren Samantha Squires, Kamala Squires Henry, Nicholas Squires, Esme Squires, Amelia Israel-Berry and great-grandchildren, Stella Squires and Luca Henry.

To honor his wishes, a private gathering of family will be held at a later date.
