Paul Frederick Beyer, Jr., 78, of Oak Island, NC, met his Lord and Savior face to face on the morning of Monday, August 10, 2026.
Paul was born in Cheverly, Maryland on February 2, 1948, and was one of five children born to the late Rose Rifenbark Beyer and Paul F. Beyer, Sr. In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by his wife, Denise Beyer and brother, Brian Beyer.
Paul was a devoted Christian and was an active member of Generations Church, where he was a member of the NEST team, until his failing health.
He is retired from IBM. Paul was an avid golfer (he loved his 5 wood) & fisherman. He didn’t meet a plate of crab legs that he wouldn’t eat. He was devoted to his family as well as his community. His hugs were famous, and a smile was easily obtained.
Paul’s joy in life was spreading God’s word. This world was better because he was in it.
Surviving are his adoring children, Paul F. Beyer, III and wife Pam, Eric M. Beyer and spouse Paula, Stephanie B. Kocyba and husband Tommy, grandchildren, Kendall Posey (Marissa Knight), Cody Beyer (Sierra), Hannah Walls & husband Tony, Auston Milke & wife Mekayla, Patrick Beyer, great grandchild Kobe Walls & 2 future greats on the way, bonus children Lauren Mitchell & family, Stephanie Mohammed & family. All of whom he adored.
A celebration of Paul’s life is being planned and will be held at 9:30AM in Generations Church, 4019 Executive Park Boulevard, Southport, NC on Saturday, August 22, 2026. Visitation is for 30 minutes prior to the service (9am) as well as for 1 hour after the service (10:30-11:30).
The family respectfully requests that donations be made in his name to The Nest @ Generations Church.
Online condolences are encouraged and may be sent to the family at www.fulwoodfuneralservice.com
