Obituary

Patricia Hughes Thomas, 49, of Calabash, NC passed away peacefully at home with her loved ones near, on Saturday, October 12, 2024 following a battle with pancreatic cancer.

Patricia was born in Loris, South Carolina on January 18, 1975, and was a daughter of Patsy Davis Hughes and the late Walter Olan Hughes. In addition to her father, Patricia was predeceased by her maternal grandparents, Zeb and Martha Davis; and paternal grandparents, Bob and Anne Hughes. She will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, Mimi, daughter, sister and friend.

Surviving are her husband of 31 years, Brad Thomas; a daughter, Jasmine Hood and husband Casey of Calabash; a son, Preston Thomas of Leland; a brother, Tim Hughes; a sister, Christy Hughes; beloved grandchildren, Nevaeh and Nathaniel Arnold; father-in-law, Shorty Thomas, mother-in-law, Cheryl Thomas and sister-in-law, Sami Bracey (John).

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, in the Andrews Chapel Global Methodist Church with The Reverend John Bracey officiating.

Interment will follow in the Thomas Cemetery, Calabash, NC.

A time of visitation with the family will be from 1:00 until 2:00 Wednesday at the church.
