Michael James Connolly, 62, of Hampstead, NC passed away on the twenty second of July 2022 in the Lower Cape Fear Life Care Center.

Born in Landstuhl, Germany on the ninth of September 1959, Mike was a son of the late Joseph James and Judith Jean Rodriguez Connolly. In addition to his parents, Mike was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Manuel and Mary Rodriguez.

He was employed with CP&L for over twenty-five years as a shift supervisor at the Sutton Steam Plant; Mike was also an office manager and involved with Human Relations with Mid Atlantic Cable Solutions, Inc for over twelve years as well as working as a truck mechanic. Mike enjoyed being outdoors and especially loved boating, hiking, traveling and a cold craft beer with family and friends. "Mr. Mike" as he was known to many, could fix anything, was a jack of all trades and went out of his way to help everyone. His big heart was only matched by his love for his family and friends.

Surviving are his loving wife, Melissa M. Connolly; sons, Christopher Shawn Connolly and fiancée Breana Wilson, Patrick Scott Connolly; sisters, Chevy Caprice Connolly, Noreen Connolly and partner Mary Smith; brother, Daniel Joseph Connolly; grandchildren, Braxton Elijah Connolly, Sofia Grace Connolly; father and mother-in-laws, Michael Franklin & Helen Smyth Morgan sister-in-law, Jeanine Williams, a brother-in-law, Erik Scott Morgan and niece, Ollie Mae Morgan.
