Mary Catherine Hewett Royal, 90, of Supply, NC passed away on Tuesday, the twenty third of August 2022 at her home with her family by her side.

Born in Supply, NC on Tuesday, the nineteenth of July 1932 Mary was a daughter of the late Lennell and Alene Lancaster Hewett. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sons, Gary Mark Clemmons, Charles Jerold Clemmons; daughter, Cheryl Ann Clemmons; grandson, Matthew Duncan and son-in-law, Robert Edward Duncan.

After high school, Mary attained three separate college degrees, she also earned her real estate broker's license. Through the years she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister while working in real estate, retired as a rural mail carrier. She loved her God and was a longtime member of Supply Baptist Church.

Surviving are her husband, Palmer Rudolph Royal; a son, James W. Clemmons and wife June; a daughter, Catherine Diane Duncan; two sisters, Janice Pigott and husband Shelton, Eva Mae Melvin; grandchildren, Jeremy Clemmons, Samuel Jason Clemmons, Martin Duncan, Kimberly Beth Clemmons, Krista Clemmons, Orrey Palmer Clemmons; two great grandchildren, Olivia Grace Clemmons and Adam Clemmons.

Memorial services will be held at 11:30 AM on Friday, August 26, 2022 in the Supply Baptist Church with the Reverend Billy Rave officiating.
