Margaret W. "Maggie" Keeler, 83, of Oak Island, NC passed away on Friday, June 23, 2023 at her home after a time of declining health.

Born in Beliot, Kansas, Maggie was a daughter of the late Anthony and Sophia Schauf Grelinger. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, John, Lawrence, Paul, Donald Grelinger and a grandson, Patrick Clark.

Maggie graduated from nursing school in 1961 and worked as a registered nurse at St. Joseph Hospital, Concord, KS, Broadstone Hospital, Superior, NE, Good Samaritan Hospital, Kearney, NE, as well as 2 nursing facilities in Kearney, Good Hope Hospital, Erwin, NC, Brunswick Hospital, Supply, NC and the Dosher Nursing Home, Southport, NC and she retired in 2013.

Maggie was a people person, she was loved by manyand will be greatly missed. She was also a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Maggie married the love of her life, Donald Keeler on September 3, 1960 and they five children, Greg Keeler of Raleigh, NC, Toni Griffin of Four Oaks, NC, Tamera Russell of Oak Island, NC, Brian Keeler of Goldsboro, NC, Christopher Keeler of Coats, NC; brothers, Norbert Grelinger of Beloit, KS, Robert Grelinger of Derby, KS; grandchildren, Tari McCracken, Melissa Zerbs, Jeremy Clark, Kelli Denney, Shawn Keeler, Daniel Keeler, Hannah Keeler, James Russell, Jenna Russell, Alyssa Walker, Christopher Keeler, Talon Keeler; great grandchildren, Elias Walker, Idris Walker, Sawyer Russell, Rubi McCracken, Lyza McCracken, Jase McCracken, Ryan Zerbs Camden Zerbs and Hazel Denney.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 2:00 PM, on Thursday, July 6, 2023 in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
