Mrs. Lura Roberson Dunn, 66 of Wilmington, NC passed away on Saturday, September 26, 2020. Lura was born on the first of March 1954 in Polk County, GA to the late Paul and Dorothy Dye Roberson. In addition to her parents, Lura was preceded in death by a sister, Deena Mikhalakis.

After graduating from Sequoyah High School, she studied in the medical field to become a registered nurse. She then began a forty-six year career, from operating room assistant to head of the OR Department. However, to say her career was "just a job" would belie the true depth of her compassion. She carried a soul that had compassion for all life. From every friend her children made to any animal in need of care or shelter.

Surviving are her two daughters, Kara Dunn of Wilmington, NC, Ashley Dunn of Laurel Hill, NC a grandson, Maxwell Truett and a sister, Paula Stovall.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, the eighteenth of October 2020 at one thirty in the afternoon in the home of Ashley Godwin Harrell at 1815 Kennedy Road, Wilmington, NC 28409.
