Kenneth Ray Kennedy, 67, of Ocean Isle Beach, NC passed away on Sunday, March 5, 2023, in the Lower Cape Fear Life Care, "Brunswick House", Bolivia, NC following a lengthy illness.

Ken was born in Asheville, NC and adopted by Tommie & Alma McLemore Kennedy of Laurinburg, NC.

He attended and graduated from UNCP where he served as president of the Senior Student Body and was a member of Alpha Omega Upsilon fraternity. Ken worked as a building inspector for Brunswick County, NC and Hilton Head Island, SC. He retired and enjoyed traveling and living by the sea. He is preceded in death by his parents and leaves a surviving brother, Monty Woodard of Porter Ranch, CA. He also leaves behind many special friends.

Memorial services will be held at 2:30 PM, on Thursday, April 27, 2023 at 474 East Third Street, Ocean Isle Beach, NC 28469 with refreshments at Sharky's Restaurant following the service.
