Southport – Mrs. Kathleen C. Samaras, 87, died Friday, February 4, 2022. She is predeceased by her husband of 28 years, George Samaras of Red Bank, NJ.  Until moving to Southport, NC in 2019, she had been a life-long resident of Monmouth County, New Jersey. Mrs. Samaras was a member of the Lutheran Memorial Church, Tinton Falls, NJ for nearly 40 years  and recently became a member of Saint Peter's Lutheran Church in Southport, NC.

She is survived by a son, David D'Anthony of Hilton Head Island, SC and a daughter, Kristine D'Anthony Koval of Southport, NC, two grandsons, Steven and Anthony Effaldana of Rockland County, NY, four granddaughters – Katherine D'Anthony Carper of Hilton Head, SC, Victoria D'Anthony of Duncan, SC, Courtney and Kaitlyn Effaldana of Croton On The Hudson, NY, two brothers, Earl C. Conway of Vero Beach, FL, Michael Conway of Maui, HI and a sister, Mary Kennedy Ball of Denver, CO. Predeceased by her parents, Earl C. Conway, former Senator of Guam and Alda H. Kennedy
