Judy Frances Myers Bates, age 61, of Leland passed away on Sunday, the fourteenth of March 2021 following the passing of  Tony, her loving husband of thirty four years just seven days earlier.

Judy was born in Lexington, NC on the ninth of March 1960 to Frances Irene Brinson Myers of Lexington, NC and the late Jacob Steve Myers. Judy was a school bus driver and assistant schoolteacher but will be fondly remembered for being a loving wife, mother and grandmother. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a brother, Stevie Darrell Myers.

Surviving are two sons, Terry Bates and Cody Bates; three granddaughters, Danica, Lillian and Brella Bates and a brother, Greg Myers and wife Charlotte.

Memorial services will held Saturday, March 20, 2021, at 3 pm at Elah Baptist Church, Leland, NC. The family will recieve friends from 2:00 until 3:00 PM  prior to the service.
