Obituary

Joyce Ann Christian Tindall, 80, of Ocean Isle Beach NC passed away peacefully on September 22, 2025. She was born on October 7, 1944, and lived a life full of dedication to her family and her community.

Joyce devoted her career to education and mentoring as a teacher at South Eastern Industrial, where she touched countless lives with her patience, kindness, and commitment to her students. Beyond her work, she was deeply loved as a wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Richard Dale Tindall who passed on June 20, 2022.  Joyce was a supportive military wife to Rick for 22 years  of their marriage.

Joyce is survived by her children, Stephanie Tindall and husband Richard Warner of Red Springs NC and Bradley Tindall and wife Carol Tindall of Ocean Isle Beach NC. She is also survived by grandchildren Heather Sharpe and husband Channing Sharpe of Olympia WA and Kristoffer Prutzman and partner Alexis Martinez of Fayetteville NC.

Joyce was a great grandmother to Berengaria and Penthesilea Sharpe of Olympia WA and sister to Evelyn Hammonds of IL, and Linda Morrow of Fayetteville NC.  She was also honorary mother to her "son without papers" as she called him, Adam Oldham of Hickory NC.

She will be lovingly remembered as a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who always greeted you with a warm smile and a tremendous generosity of spirit. She treated everyone she met like family.

A private service will be held by the family at  The Williamson Family Farm in Raeford NC on Saturday September 27th from 4:00 til 6:00 to honor her memory, of a life filled with love and joy.
