Joyce Anne Weaver, 73, of Hickory, NC was ushered into Paradise by The Lords Angels on Friday, August 14, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was residing with her husband in Ocean Isle Beach, NC at the time of her departure.

Joyce was born in Hickory, NC on May 11, 1953, and was daughter of the late Lawrence Daniel and Betty Sue Lael Nanney.

Joyce was devoted to her family; a loving and supporting wife and “the best mom ever”. She excelled in a dedicated career with the Catawba County Schools system; working at various schools primarily as and retiring from the Registrar position with over twenty-five years of public service. Upon retirement, she played a vital role in supporting the family business, Quality Discount Tire located in Maiden NC, since its inception in 2000.

Surviving is her loving husband of 54 years; Gary Weaver of Ocean Isle Beach, NC; two Sons; the eldest Bryan, his wife Jennifer and daughter Janelle Bolick of Newton, NC; the youngest Thad and his wife Brandy of Sunset Beach, NC and their daughter Bayleigh Anne Weaver. Joyce is immediately survived by two loving brothers; Bruce Alan Nanney of Hickory, NC and John David and Mary Nanney of Massena, N.Y.

To honor her wishes, a private celebration of life is planned by the family.
