Mrs. Josie Faye Register Niles, 79, of Ocean Isle Beach, NC passed away on Monday, the twenty first of December 2020.

Born in Whiteville, NC on the twenty fifth of May 1941, Josie was the daughter of the late Arthur Monroe and Odessa Babson Register. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. Niles, IV and a son, Timothy Wayne Niles, MSG US Army Ret.

She is survived by her son, Charles E. Niles V and wife Carol of Indialantic, FL; grandchildren, Hannah Niles, Jessika Craven, Chelsea Lissemore, Kaitlan Niles, Zachary Niles, Chance Niles, Courtney Niles and eight great grandchildren.

Mrs. Niles treasured her family and enjoyed endless hours making happy memories with them, as well as socializing with extended family at every opportunity.  She was fully devoted to supporting both of her son's military careers.  They both retired from the Army and she always kept yellow ribbons up awaiting their return home.  A lifetime resident of Brunswick County, she never lost her love of the local community.

Funeral services will be conducted at two o'clock in the afternoon on Saturday, the twenty sixth of December 2020 in the Shepherd Assembly Church, 6720 Old Shallotte Road, Ocean Isle Beach, NC. Burial will follow in the Mintz Cemetery.

A time of visitation with the family will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
