Janet Leigh
Bookout
Jul 29, 1968 — Oct 15, 2026
With heavy hearts and cherished memories, we announce the passing of Janet Leigh Bookout, who departed this life on October 15, 2026, at the age of 58.
Born on July 29, 1968, to Jack Alfred Kight and Mary Louise Rhodes, Janet leaves behind a family who will forever carry her memory in their hearts. Her life was filled with moments, memories, and relationships that will continue to live on through those who knew and loved her.
In a heartbreaking loss for their family, Janet passed away alongside her beloved sister, Lori Fernandez. Born just eleven months apart, the sisters shared a bond that began early in life and remained with them until the very end. Just as their lives began so close together, their journeys came to an end together as well. Their family now mourns the loss of two sisters whose lives will forever be remembered and whose memories will continue to be cherished.
Janet was the loving mother of four children: Matthew Bookout and Brandi, Rebecca Bookout and Gage, Jerica Bookout and Reno, and Andrew (Elmo) Bookout and Breann, and of course, Chucky. She was also a proud grandmother to eleven grandchildren: Lilah, Orin, Camerino,Sadie, Odin, Brynlee, Silas, Leonisia, Marlia, Logan, and Nathan.
Her children and grandchildren are a lasting part of her legacy, each carrying a piece of her story into the generations to come.
Janet and Lori also leave behind three brothers, Tracy Cuppett, Jack Kight, and Jay Kight, and a sister, Tonya Kresila. Together, their family shares a lifetime of memories and a bond that will remain strong despite the heartbreaking loss of two beloved sisters.
Janet dedicated her life to being a personal caregiver, devoting her time and energy to caring for others. Through her work, she provided comfort, companionship, and support to those who depended on her. Her dedication to helping others was a meaningful part of her life and a reflection of her caring spirit.
Although her time here has come to an end, the memories made, the love shared, and the moments spent together will never be forgotten. Janet’s memory will live on in the hearts of her family and all those whose lives she touched.
As her family mourns the heartbreaking loss of both Janet and Lori, they also remember the years they were blessed to share with them. May they find comfort in the memories that remain, the bond the sisters shared, and in knowing that love does not end with goodbye.
Forever loved, deeply missed, and never forgotten.
