James Daniel "Jimmy" Gore, 90, of Leland, NC passed away on Friday, January 19, 2024 at his home with family by his side.

Jimmy was born in Brunswick County, NC on August 10, 1933, and was a son of the late George Washington and Hancie Gail Mintz Gore. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Florence Scoggins Gore; a son, Edward George Gore, a grandson, Jonathan, and a great grandchild, Simon.

Jimmy was retired from BellSouth (now AT&T) as a Supply Chain Manager. He was also a member of Shiloh United Methodist Church and was a proud US Army veteran.

Surviving are two sons, William James Gore, Sr., and wife Barbara, Michael Allen Gore and daughter-in-law, Tammy; six grandchildren, Ann, James, Diane, E.C., Tiffany; Six great grandchildren, Lexi, Kaden, Pistol and Gabe; Seven great-great grandchildren, Asher, Sareya, Shiloh, Atlas, Raven and Raelyn.

Memorial services will be conducted at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, January 24, 2024, in the Shiloh United Methodist Church with Reverends, William Pearsall, Mark Murray and Mrs. Kim Parker officiating.
