James Lee Clemmons, Sr., 84, of Supply, NC passed away on Friday, September 11, 2026, in the Lower Cape Fear LifeCare, Bolivia, NC after a brief illness.

Born in Supply, NC on February 19, 1942, James was one of five children born to the late Anson Lee and Lizzie A. Hogan Clemmons. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife Betty Jean Clemmons; three sisters, Lucille Varnam, Eunice Hart and Jessie Dillon.

James was a retired long haul truck driver.

Surviving are a son, James L. Clemmons, Jr., and wife Rebecca “Becky”: a sister, Bobbie DeStefano; and a host of nieces, nephews and other extended family members.
