James Mitchell Barton, 54, of Supply, NC formerly of Lakeland, Fl., passed away on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at his home following a time of declining health.

Born in Polk County, FL, James was a son of the late James Arthur Barton and Ms. Kathie Heath Quinn of Auburndale, FL.

James was a truck driver and was proud of having driven for eighteen years and over 2 million accident & ticket free miles.

Surviving are his mother, Kathie L. Quinn; his fiancée, Barbara L Miller; a son, Brandon Johnson and grand daughter, sisters, Angelia J. Boltz , half sister Jessica Waters, (Terry), a brother, Donnie Barton; and nieces & nephews, Cassie Boltz, Zachary, and Kindell Barton.
