George Maurice Wallace, 80, of Loris, SC passed away on Tuesday the thirteenth of April, 2021 in Autumn Care of Shallotte Nursing Home after a brief illness.

Born in Portland, OR on the twenty eighth of December 1940 George was a son of the late Quentin and Mapearl Dent Wallace. In addition to his parents, George was preceded in death by his wife, Karen Wallace. George was a retired truck driver and was a member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church, Loris, SC.

He enjoyed helping others and was a kid at heart. He loved making fudge, and owned a small fudge shop in Dunn, NC years earlier. He also loved to fish, watching westerns, and listening to old country music.

Surviving are a daughter, Virginia Sterling of the home; a son, Brad Wallace of Quitman, TX; a sister, Rose Dianna Fields and husband Roy of Hope Mills, NC; four grandchildren, Chelsea Sterling of the home, Richard Sterling of Crisfield, MD, Darrell Sterling and wife Jennifer of Crisfield, MD; two great grandsons, Damon and Jenson Sterling of Crisfield, MD; a niece, April Fields of Durham, NC and nephew, John Fields.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.
