George Joseph Finley, 69, of Sunset Beach, NC passed away on Saturday, November 18, 2023, at his home with his loving wife Cheryl by his side. After moving to NC George was diagnosed with stage IV Esophageal Cancer.

Born in Essex County, NJ, on May 29, 1954, George was a son of the late John E. Finley, Sr and C. Helen Grabowski Finley.

George earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Montclair State University, he then worked for Goldman Sacks in their information technology department for 28 years. He then became a licensed Real Estate Appraiser, earned his MAI and worked for several years in the northern Virginia area. George was also a proud US Army veteran.

Surviving are his wife of 37 years, Cheryl Crovelli Finley: brothers, John E. Finley, Jr. of Surprise, AZ, Michael Finley of Washington, NJ and a sister-in-law Linda S. Jones or Greer, SC.

To honor his wishes, no local services are planned.
