Evelyn Ivey "Bobbie" Brown, age 89, of Leland, NC passed away at the home of one of her daughters in Grifton, NC on Thursday, January 4, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Bobbie was born in Four Oaks, NC on October 3, 1934, and was the last surviving daughter of the late Bruel Calvin and Grace Jones Ivey. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Danny Lee Brown in 2009,  two sisters, Edna Ivey Capps, Sandra Ivey Bailey and a grandson, Dylan Cody Pilkington.

She was a retired office manager of Wake Forest Family Medicine and was a devoted member of the Ayden United Methodist Church.

Surviving are her children, Debra Pilkington Odham (Mack), Jackie Pilkington Patterson (Russ), Clifton Ivey Pilkington (April), Lana Pilkington Bass (Charlie), Bobbi-Lynn Pilkington; eighteen grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren, one great-great granddaughter; a special family friend, Brian Harker, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Memorial services will be conducted at 3:00 PM, Sunday, January 7, 2024, in the Ayden United Methodist Church, 460 Third Street, Ayden, NC 28513.
