Obituary

Dwight Thurman "Peanut" McCall, Jr., passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, January 3, 2024, at the age of 56.

"Peanut" was born in Wilmington, NC on November 14, 1967, and was a son of Dwight Thurman McCall, Sr and Faye Lewis McCall of Shallotte, NC.

He was an avid fisherman and worked hard to keep the local community supplied with fish, oysters, clams, soft shelled crabs and shrimp. "Pnut" was a master welder and fabricator with a talent for designing, fabricating anything you could imagine for boats, fishing, shrimping among other things. He was a generous man and enjoyed the friendship of so many people in the local area.

Surviving in addition to his parents, are his loving wife, Shannon McCall; his children, Tiffany Pigott (Lorenzo), Lacy McCall, Tyler McCall, Marcus Moore (Toni); a sister, Connie M. Caison (Sheldon); grandchildren, Kingston Pigott, Haven Pigott, Lilly Moore, Luca McCall; a nephew, Dalton Logan; a "sister" like cousin, Mitzi Ward and many cousins, and friends too numerous to mention.

A celebration of life service will be conducted at 1:00 PM, on Saturday, January 13, 2024, at the Inlet View Bar & Grill in Shallotte Point, NC.
