Donald Elwood "Donnie" Stahl, 72, of Calabash, NC passed away on Thursday, July 27, 2023 at his home. Born in Somerset, PA, on September 5, 1950, Donnie was a son of the late Stewart Stahl, Jr. and Anna Mae Koch Stahl. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Darlene Stahl Werner of Meyersdale, PA and Susanna Burkhart Hites of Mercer, PA. Donnie was a resident of the Carolinas for forty years. He was a long time Sales Manager for Brunswick Plantation and enjoyed playing golf, walking, going to the gym & eating healthy.. He was a man that was easily approchable and loved to meet new people and engage in a great conversation with them. Surviving are a sister, Marion Burkhart Smith (Ken) of Hollsopple, PA; several nieces and nephews, Kellie Maust Haer (Steve), Christopher Werner (Kayla), Eric Werner (significant other, Tracy) all of Meyersdale, PA, Michelle Smith Speigle (Dave), Melissa Smith Statler (significant other, Tom) both of Boswell, PA, Heidi Reynolds of Grove City, PA, Wendi Reynolds Hunter (Harold) of Follansbee, WV; a daughter, Lisa Messler; grandchildren, Kyli, Davis and Ryan of Elkton FL; and special friends, Bob Barrett (Amy), Bob Layding (Connie) of Calabash, NC. To honor his wishes, there will be no service and he will be buried in the Weller Cemetery, Somerset, PA.
