Donald Rayford Martin, Sr., 87, of Southport, NC passed away on Monday, August 15, 2022 in the Lower Cape Fear Hospice "Angel House" in Whiteville, NC following a lengthy illness.

Donald or Don to his friends and family was born in Gaston County, NC on the second of August, NC 1935 to the late Reverend Jesse Alexander Martin and Lucy Williams Martin. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four children, Sherry Martin, Tim Martin, Mitzi Starkey, Donald Martin, Jr., and a sister, Nina Martin.

Don was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Southport, NC and also a master mechanic working specifically in boat repair for many years.

Surviving are his loving wife Marion Ingram Martin; a son, David Mason; daughters, Kathy Bowman, Donna Martin, Patricia Kay Martin; a sister, Rachel Martin; grandchildren Lauren & Jacob Mason and additional grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A celebration of Don's life will be conducted at two o'clock in the afternoon in the Trinity United Methodist Church, Southport, NC on Saturday the third of September 2022.
