Delores Delreo Clemmons Varnam Strong, 87, of Southport, NC passed away unexpectedly on Friday, June 20, 2025, in the Dosher Memorial Hospital.
Born in Brunswick County, NC on February 3, 1938, and was a daughter of the late Dotridge D. and Lena Leola Hearl Clemmons. In addition to her parents, Delores was preceded in death by her two daughters, Charlene Varnam Bennett, Trina Varnam, their father, Hoyal (Red) Varnam, Jr., her siblings, Minnie Long, Reatha Clemmons Ferguson, Arthur Spencer, Walter Spencer, and Elton Clemmons.
Surviving are her sisters, Jenny Lynn Clemmons Milliken, Joann Clemmons Swain; grandchildren, Brian Earp, Donavan Earp (Jennifer), Taylor Bennett, Colin Bennett; great grandchildren, Erica Earp, Brian Christopher Earp, Jr, Austin Earp, Sydney Earp, Bryston Earp, Cayson Earp; and three great grandchildren, Olivia Bennett, Blake Bennett and Grayson Bennett.
Memorial services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, on Thursday, June 26, 2025, in the Union Chapel Pentecostal Church, Supply, NC with Reverend Regan Mintz officiating.
