Charles Haslebacher of Leland, NC passed away on Feb 4, 2021 after a lengthy battle with cancer.  He was the devoted husband of Janet (nee Humphrey) of the home.  Chuck was the proud father of three children: Lindsay Hilliker (Alex) of Arlington VA; Adam of Gallatin TN; and Luke (Faith) of Clermont FL.  He is survived by his parents Herb and Joyce Haslebacher and sister Doris of King, NC and his in-laws John and Joan Humphrey of Burlington, NC and their daughters Wanda, Barbara and Joanie and beloved nieces and nephews. His nearly 40yr career was spent at VPBuildings reaching the presidency of the company since 2005. He had recently retired to the coast and will be sorely missed by all who knew him.  Chuck was born Dec 3, 1955 in Clarksburg WV and received a Master's degree in Civil Engineering from WVU in 1980 where he was a member of Phi Psi fraternity. Chuck and Janet are parishioners of Basilica Shrine of St Mary in Wilmington.  A private Funeral Mass will be held at Blessed Sacrament Church in Graham NC at 11:00 am on Wednesday, February 10, 2021.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Catholic Charities or Leukemia & Lymphoma Societies.  Condolences may be expressed online at www.fulwoodfuneralservice.com
