Charles Earl "Chuck" Abbott, age 68, of Calabash, NC, passed away on Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at his home. Chuck was born in Kearney, Nebraska on March 24, 1955 to the late George and Ramona Abbott. Chuck is survived by his wife, Dinsy Abbott and his daughters, Angela Robinson, Amber Tillman and Amanda Smithmyer. He also leaves behind his son-in-laws Cedric Robinson, Rick Tillman and Steve Smithmyer as well as his grandchildren, Lyric and Nevaeh Robinson and Aubrey and Mason Smithmyer. His siblings, Renee Tewes, brother-in-law Timothy, Todd Abbott, Debbie Peterson, brother-in-law Brian and Tracy Toy plus multiple nieces, nephews and cousins. Chuck was a retired Regional Sales Manager of 37 years with Isco Teledyne. He was an avid golfer and moved to the Carolinas to be near family and the beautiful golf courses around Myrtle Beach. He also loved fishing and always had a good story to tell of his adventurous family Canadian fishing trips. He loved spending time with his family and vacationing with his wife. One thing that brought him much joy was spending time with his grandchildren. He was a great cook who passed his love of good food on to his daughters. He also enjoyed dining out, catching the most recent movie at the theater and watching Nebraska football. He passed away sitting in his favorite place on the back porch doing what he loved, smoking a good cigar and reading a Western novel.
