Calliope Carasoulas "Popey" Sotirelis, 93, of Longs, SC formerly of Yonkers, NY passed away on Thursday, January 20, 2022, in the Lower Cape Fear Life Care Center, Bolivia, NC.

Born in New York City, NY on the sixth of August 1928, Calliope was a daughter of the late Alexandros and Maria Trilyvas Carasoulas. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Cpt. Vlassis Sotirelis.

After high school, she attended Hunter College in NYC, NY. She was a retired manager at Chemical Bank, White Plains, NY and was a member of the Ladies Philoptochos Society at St. Gerassimos Church, NYC, NY.

Surviving are her adoring children, son Christos V Sotirelis of Longs, SC and her daughter Marianne S Villafana of Sunset Beach, NC, as well as her sister Bessie Economou Pease of Pittsburgh, Pa.
