Bruce Sherman Jennings, 72, of Oak Island, NC formerly of Wilkesboro, NC passed away on Sunday, October 4, 2026, with loving family at his bedside.

Born in Wilkes County, NC on November 8, 1953, Bruce was one of six children born to the late Monroe and Ruby Alice Brown Jennings. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Annie Ruth Jennings, and his canine companion, Amigo.

Bruce was retired from Louisiana-Pacific Building Solutions, Roaring River, NC Plant and was of the Baptist faith.

Surviving are his loving daughter, April Jennings (Boo Potter) of Oak Island, NC; three brothers, Curtis Jennings (Delaine), Steven Jennings (Lynn), Gary Jennings (Barbara); two sisters, Barbara Baker (Arlice), Margie Call (Neil); grandchildren, Hendrix Harmon (Taylor Rogers), Blaze Harmon (Bella Dellacroce), Ember Harmon (Kiet Trinh), Rush Harmon; and several nieces and nephews.

A private celebration of life service will be held in the near future.
