Barbara C. Pearson, 83, of Oak Island, NC (formerly of Grantham, NH) passed away on Sunday, September 6, 2026 with her loving family at her bedside.

Barbara was born in Adams, MA on March 10, 1943, and was the daughter of the late, Harold Boyd and Celia Zamora Boyd. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Richard Pearson.

Surviving are her two daughters, Annette Pearson Koerner (Kevin), Lisa Pearson; a brother, Robert Boyd (Marianne); a sister, Jane Solari (Richard); grandchildren, Julie Doran and fiancée Daniel Hudgins, Alyssa Ellis (Andrew); two beloved great grandchildren, Redding Ellis and Gillian Ellis; and much loved nieces and nephews.

Barbara was a loving mother and devoted wife. She loved living in New Hampshire where she enjoyed gardening, making wreathes, and arranging flowers. Barbara was an avid decorator and always had a beautiful home. She also enjoyed having her grandchildren come to visit for the summer to swim and grab an afternoon ice cream at the lake. She was an animal lover and always had a pet in her lap. Barbara moved to Oak Island a year and a half ago and loved spending time with her family. She especially enjoyed playing school with Gillian and Minecraft with Redding. She enjoyed her time at the beach, where she loved going for walks on the pier and meeting new people. She had an incredible sense of humor and made everyone around her laugh. Barbara will be deeply missed and always loved.

A Celebration of Life Service is being planned and will be announced when complete.
