Tony " Shootem up" Bates Born on March 25th 1963 in Lexington Nc to Irvin and Sandra Bates. Passed away peacefully on March 7th 2021 At New Hanover Regional Medical Center. Tony is survived by his loving wife of 34 yrs Judy Bates: his two sons Terry and Cody Bates and 3 granddaughters, Danica lillian and Brella Bates which his daily life revolved around also survived by his father Irvin Bates; sister, Ravonda Hobbs; and Brother Todd Bates. He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Dean Bates; Grandmother Molly Bates and his mother Sandra Bates. Tony was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing and hunting also left his knowledge with anyone he ever meet and always wanted the best for anyone he would meet.  He was also a great care giver and stood by his vows when he said in sickness and in health. He will be missed by many in his family and the hunting and fishing community.

Memorial services will held Saturday, March 13, 2021, at 3 pm at Elah Baptist Church, Leland, NC. The family will recieve friends from 2:00 until 3:00 PM  prior to the service.
